This is the case of the ‘lost browser window’. Let me explain.
I use multiple screens on my PCs at work and at home. And sometimes the Chrome browser ends up on one of the screens that’s either not turned on, or is in some other location. I know this isn’t a problem most people have, but this particular issue drives my bonkers.
In my quest to solve this mystery, I visited the knower of all things, and voila, the mystery is solved, and now I can recover a stray browser window no matter where it should roam.
Here’s the solution:
Step 1: position the mouse cursor over the browser icon in the task bar, then right-click the ‘lost’ browser image
Step 2: select ‘Move’, second option from the top, then let go of the mouse and keyboard
Step 3: press one of the arrow keys on the keyboard, doesn’t matter which one
Step 4: then move the mouse (without clicking) until the lost browser window appears on your desktop
Who knew it would be that easy!
